Commercial disclosure

KashmirMarathon is free to use. Here is exactly how we earn money, and the rules we follow so it doesn’t affect what we tell you.

How we earn

SourceHow it works
Accommodation referralsWhen you send an accommodation request, a property may pay us a commission on a confirmed booking or an agreed fee for a relevant request. One model per booking, agreed in writing with the property.
Travel referralsTransport, transfer, sightseeing and trip providers may pay us for referrals in the same way.
Featured listingsProperties may pay for a featured position. Featured listings are always labelled “Partner” or “Featured”.
Sponsorship and advertisingBrands in stay, travel, fashion and flights may sponsor guides, newsletters or placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored”.

What this means for you

  • We don’t charge you for using the site or for sending an accommodation request, and we don’t add any fee to your booking.
  • Any booking you make is directly with the provider, under their terms and prices.
  • We never claim an official marathon rate or discount unless the provider has confirmed it in writing, and we show its conditions.

How we choose who to recommend

When we send you options, we choose them for fit with your dates, budget, location and preferences. We only work with providers we have checked, and we drop providers who don’t respond reliably or don’t deliver what they promise.

Connected businesses. Some partners may be businesses connected to the people who run KashmirMarathon. Where suitable options are available, we also include providers we have no connection with, so you can compare.

What money can’t buy

  • A change to our editorial guides, race information or opinions.
  • Approval of our content before it’s published.
  • An unlabelled placement.

Read our editorial policy for how we keep the two apart, or get in touch with any questions.
